Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes opened up about their marriage plans on episode 42 of the couple’s podcast, Amy & T.J. which dropped on April 21, 2024. The couple opened up about their relationship, their future together, and the possibility of saying “I do”.
While Robach and Holmes did discuss marriage, it looks like wedding bells won’t be ringing just yet. Going by their conversation on the podcast, the couple hasn’t made a decision about tying the knot.
Robach said,
“We haven’t figured the marriage thing out yet”.
To this Holmes immediately added,
“We haven’t decided whether or not we are going to officially get married”.
However, the couple is all set to take their relationship to the next level – Amy and T.J. are planning to move in together. Amy said in the podcast,
“…I want to be with you for the rest of my life, and I would like to live with you when the time comes… I would eventually like to live with you.”
Robach and Holmes might not be ready for marriage yet, but the couple still sees each other as life partners who don’t need legal binding to attest their love.
Citing the example of Hollywood’s unconventional couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, Robach said,
“But I’ve always been in awe of the fact that every day they wake up and they choose to be together, there’s no legal binding document that says they have to be together”.
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes met while co-hosting the show Good Morning America. At the time, Amy was married to actor Andrew Shue, whereas Holmes was married to attorney Marilee Feibig.
In 2022, Robach and Holmes’ scandalous office affair came to light, leading to their respective divorces and dismissal from the show. Despite the controversy, they began dating publicly in January 2023. The new podcast does make it seem like they’re going strong and steady.
The couple’s latest Instagram post about the podcast episode drew some supportive comments from fans. One comment read,
“I’m happy for them!!! Better than being in an unhappy relationship…”
All eyes are on Amy and T.J. as they navigate their next chapter together. Only time will tell if they ever walk down the aisle.
