In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine on September 30, 2024, the songstress opened up about her feelings for Polansky, at the premiere of her upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux, in Los Angeles.
Gaga couldn’t contain her excitement as she gushed about her fiancé, sharing,
“I just love my fiancé so much. He’s my best friend. He’s my partner, and I just feel like when you are with your best friend, everything changes”.
Moreover, Lady Gaga expressed her excitement about collaborating with Michael on her latest album, Harlequin, which serves as a companion to the film.
Michael took on the role of co-executive producer for the album. Reflecting on the unique experience of working together, the popstar shared,
“It’s just the first time that we decided to fully just go into it and do it. It just felt right. We were both so excited. We were all warmed up and ready to go”.

Gaga credited her beau for encouraging her to return to the studio and create new music. Reflecting on Polansky’s influence, she shared,
“Michael is the person who told me to make a new pop record. He was like, Babe. I love you. You need to make pop music”.
In the same interview, Michael shared his perspective, explaining that he knew how passionate Gaga was about creating music, so he simply encouraged her to embrace it fully. He said,
“Like anyone would do for the person they love, I encouraged her to lean into the joy of it. On the Chromatica tour, I saw a fire in her; I wanted to help her keep that alive all the time and just start making music that made her happy”.
