On April 6, 2025, an anonymous insider close to the couple shared rare behind-the-scenes details that may explain the Duke of Sussex’s recent resignation from Sentebale, the charity he co-founded in memory of his mother, Princess Diana.
According to the source, Meghan may have played a role in Prince Harry’s decision to step away, reportedly due to her alleged dislike for the charity’s chair, Dr. Sophie Chandauka. The insider told the US Sun in an exclusive interview,
“The problem, though, started with Meghan. Meghan doesn’t like Sophie”.
Recalling the incident that allegedly sparked tensions, the insider pointed to the Royal Salute Polo Challenge held in April 2024, the same event where Meghan made headlines for appearing unannounced. The source claimed,

“Staff working that day were asked to get champagne for Meghan, they were scrambling around, Sentebale and Archewell staff were both having to do that. Sentebale were not happy about this at all”.
