On July 20, 2025, an anonymous source close to Blake spilled some exclusive details about her current emotional and mental well-being, as well as the coping mechanisms she’s using while her ongoing legal battle with co-star Justin Baldoni continues to rage on.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the insider revealed the main reason behind the Gossip Girl alum’s absence from red carpet events and public appearances. Highlighting her desire to keep the spotlight on the lawsuit, and not herself, they said,
“She’s been avoiding public appearances because she doesn’t want to be seen out at restaurants or parties or anything to belittle the process [of her lawsuit]”.
Further emphasizing Blake’s relief at having more time to prepare for her upcoming deposition, scheduled for July 31, 2025, the source added,
“Blake is happy that the clock is ticking a little longer before her deposition takes place. She is going to take this extra time and make sure she is ready for anything… She’s confident she’ll be able to handle it and she won’t be bullied… She is not scared”.
