Since late 2022, a man named John Chelf has been frequenting the reporter’s Instagram posts. Could this be Jane Slater’s boyfriend? I needed more proof, so I went around looking into Mr. Chelf’s professional background.
John Chelf is an Area Sales Manager at Miach Orthopaedics Inc. He has also worked in an organization called Stryker Corporation. A Texan through and through, he played football for Iowa Roster in Iowa City during his college years.
John first featured in Jane’s Instagram on November 21, 2022, celebrating Thanksgiving with the reporter and her friends. Interestingly, John’s sister Carly Chelf can also be spotted in these pictures. (Involving family already?!)
Later in March 2022, the two were spotted vacationing in Bali where Jane teased her followers with a suspicious caption:
“Caught a vibe. Eat, pray, 🫶”
Some fans have even shown their support to the rumored couple on these posts. One comment read:

Since then, Jane Slater’s rumored boyfriend has been present on almost every notable day in her life – 4th of July, birthday, vacation – you name it!
In fact, the two also had a mini vacation in Iowa with the Chelf family four months ago. (That’s it, we’re fully in it now!)
However, John has been notably absent from Slater’s socials this year. The couple was last seen together on December 10, 2023, attending a Christmas party.
Jane’s captions claim him to be a “close friend,” but is that all there is to the story? Is this guy just a friend or the reason behind that radiant smile? Only time (or maybe Jane herself) will tell!
