Actress Aimee Lou Wood doesn’t plan on going under the needle for cosmetic reasons anytime soon.
During a candid appearance on The Run-Through With Vogue podcast, which aired on April 3, 2025, The White Lotus star opened up about her views on cosmetic procedures and how they clash with the current beauty standards dominating Hollywood.
Reflecting on casual conversations with her friends who have had Botox, Aimee said they often pick up on her untouched face right away. And for her, that’s by design given the nature of her job. Wood shared,
“I’m, like, very anti-Botox. People can do whatever the hell they want, but for myself because, you know, a lot of my career relies on these facial expressions… So I can’t start freezing my face. It needs to move”.
Still, she’s aware that her signature expressions can go a little overboard sometimes. Laughing at herself, Aimee added,
“Sometimes it moves too much. Sometimes I watch things back and I go Jesus, I wasn’t aware that I was using my face that much in that moment”.

Aimee Admits Challenges That Come With Her Botox-Free Face
While the Sex Education alum stands by her ‘anti-Botox’ stance, she’s not shy about acknowledging the challenges that come with embracing her naturally expressive face. She shared,
“A lot of people, they do that very still acting and everything’s kind of mumbled and they look really, like, hot and cool. I don’t think I’ll ever play a part that has a poker face because I can’t do it. Even when I think I’m doing it, I’m not doing it”.
A few weeks before her latest candid confession, Aimee opened up about another physical feature she’s proudly chosen not to alter in the name of beauty standards, her unique buck teeth.
During her interview appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, which aired on March 23, 2025, the actress reflected on being bullied for her teeth growing up, and how the conversation around them has shifted since rising to fame.
Grateful for the support she’s received from fans online, Wood shared,
“I can’t believe the impact my teeth are having… It feels so lovely. A real full-circle moment after being bullied for my teeth forever. Now people are clapping in the audience… I [hope my fans] don’t start filing their teeth as they have gaps”.
Fans Applaud Aimee Lou Wood For Embracing Her Natural Beauty
Following her candid remarks about steering clear of cosmetic procedures, Wood has been flooded with love and support from fans across social media.
Many praised the actress for staying true to herself in an industry where cosmetic enhancements are often the norm, calling her a standout among overly-polished Hollywood appearances. Some such supportive comments read,
“I agree. It’s genuinely why I love like old movies and shit, most people look very naturally pretty / handsome, the actors with straight veneers now too is so distracting”.
“She really does have amazing facial expressions! Aimee Lou was one of the highlights of the latest season of White Lotus”.
“I love that. The industry is cruel towards women. Maybe 10 years from now we will appreciate natural lines and aging in women and she can continue being anti-Botox”.
“No one looks ‘enhanced’ or better after using it, and it’s ruined so many actors’ range and effectiveness in their work”.

In a world obsessed with filters and fillers, Aimee Lou Wood is proving that authenticity never goes out of style. And clearly, fans are here for every unfiltered expression.
