Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes got candid about their respective divorces. On an episode of the couple’s podcast, Amy & T.J. which dropped on June 10, 2024, they discussed their failed marriages and how their romance blossomed amidst the aftermath.
The episode featured a live audience and was hosted by the couple at Soho House in Lower Manhattan, in New York City. Addressing his divorce from Marilee Feibig, Holmes said,
“We had very perfect-looking families and perfect-looking lives, and we were guilty at times of putting out an image of our lives that we knew were not true”.
Robach also recalled a now-deleted Instagram post made by her in 2022 with her ex-husband, Andrew Shue. She said,
“I didn’t want anyone to think anything was wrong, so I posted that picture. The problem is, everything was wrong. When I posted that picture, I was almost sure my marriage was over. But I didn’t want anyone to know”.

And to maintain the facade, he avoided updating his address at work and resorted to waking up at 3:45 am daily to return to the marital home before his work car arrived.
Moreover, Amy explained that a major reason for keeping their divorce private was to protect their children. The couple also touched upon their relationship with each other and how it was portrayed in a negative light when it became public. Amy said,
“We weren’t exposed for being together, we were exposed, initially, for not actually living the lives we were portraying to the world…”
