Wedding bells have finally rung for longtime co-stars and real-life sweethearts, Anneliese Van Der Pol and Johnno Wilson!
The Raven’s House co-stars tied the knot on December 11, 2024, in an intimate ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Opting for an elopement, the pair said their vows with no family or friends in attendance.
In an exclusive interview with the PEOPLE magazine on December 19, 2024, Wilson opened up about the joy and emotions of marrying his lady love. Reflecting on their relationship and his excitement, he shared:
“We knew we were going to be together forever, and we wanted to combine our lives in every respect. She is my greatest support, a true partner, makes me belly laugh every day, and a total babe. So why wouldn’t I want to marry her?”
To this, Anneliese responded with heartfelt words of her own, praising her now-husband, saying,
“I want Johnno to be a witness to my life, and I want to be a witness to his… He matches my silliness and doesn’t take life or himself too seriously. I love that and need that so much”.
The bride wore a vintage $98 Jessica McClintock dress for her vows, featuring a high neckline, short sleeves, and a figure-hugging yet flowy silhouette. The dress was beautifully embroidered with intricate lace detailing throughout.
Meanwhile, Johnno borrowed a classic J.Crew tuxedo from his brother, sharing that his inspiration for the look was the iconic James Bond.
Anneliese Van Der Pol Opens Up About Who Suggested Eloping First
The actress shared some insight into the couple’s decision to have an unconventional wedding by eloping.
Revealing that it was her idea to suggest eloping to Johnno, Anneliese explained how everything fell into place for their spontaneous plan. She said,
“[Our] wedding plans changed after Wilson booked a television show that would film in Toronto for two months. So I got my way… To be honest, the only thing that was important to me was that the exchanging of our vows and our commitment to each other be private… We’re 40 and in love so that’s plenty for me”.
The newlyweds plan to host a small celebration with family and friends in the spring, followed by a European honeymoon.
Anneliese Van Der Pol and Johnno Wilson first met on the set of the Disney show Raven’s Home in 2017, where they worked together for nearly seven years. During their time on set, their bond deepened, and they soon began dating.
On December 23, 2023, the couple got engaged, and nearly a year later, they have now secretly tied the knot.
