The ongoing legal battle between reality TV star Chelsea Lazkani and her ex-husband, Jeff Lazkani, shows no signs of resolution, persisting even seven months after their split.
On October 18, 2024, Jeff’s legal team filed court documents accusing Chelsea of intentionally delaying the former couple’s divorce proceedings. His paperwork stated,
“Chelsea and I have not been able to settle our case in the last seven months since this matter began. I would like to move forward with my life and request that this court terminate my marital status”.
However, on November 25, 2024, Chelsea’s legal team responded with their own filing, obtained by Us Weekly, in which she agreed to terminate their marital status under certain legal conditions.
Moreover, the Selling Sunset star fired back and refuted Jeff’s claims. She instead accused her estranged husband of being the one responsible for stalling their divorce. Her court documents stated,
“Chelsea is neither stalling this case nor causing delay. In fact, she is eager to terminate this marriage as soon as possible. Jeff has consistently caused delay by failing to respond in a timely manner… and has slowed down their divorce”.

After seven years of marriage, Chelsea filed for divorce in March 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. At the time of her filing, she requested monthly spousal support as part of the settlement.
In response, Jeff’s legal team stated his intent to oppose any spousal support payments to his ex-wife. Additionally, he requested exclusive use of their marital home in Manhattan Beach, California. Jeff’s lawyer said,
“During the marriage, the parties acquired the Manhattan Beach property… The mortgage is held solely in the name of Jeff… Jeff, without contribution from Chelsea, pays the mortgage, property taxes, and other monthly bills on the Manhattan Beach property”.
This ongoing financial dispute has only added to the complexity of their divorce proceedings. Their next trial date has been scheduled for December 10, 2024.
