Wedding bells have rung again for Christina Hendricks at the age of 48, as she got hitched to her longtime partner and Good Girls camera operator George Bianchini. The pair tied the knot on April 20, 2024, in a grand ceremony held at the historic Napoleon House in New Orleans.
Christina’s close friend Shirley Manson, who is the lead singer of rock band Garbage, officiated the wedding. A total of 76 guests, including Christina’s Good Girls co-stars Mae Whitman and Retta, witnessed the couple exchange vows.
Addressing her big day, Christina told the People magazine,
“But it’s certainly not a tiny, intimate wedding. No, a celebration — a grand celebration”.
Celebrity stylist Lauren Sample crafted Christina’s bridal look. The Mad Men actress wore a custom-made Katya Katya wedding gown paired with a lacey veil designed by Claire Pettibone. Meanwhile, the groom donned an elegant rustic brown suit for his big day.
Planned entirely by the actress herself, Christina Hendricks’ wedding celebration unfolded over three days. Guests enjoyed a cocktail party on day one, an in-depth venue tour on day two, and the wedding ceremony on day three.
Christina’s wedding theme was gothic and moody. She told People,
“George and I are both ex-goths, so that speaks to us”.
Christina was married to actor Geoffrey Arend when she first met George Bianchini on the set of Good Girls‘ season one. The two struck an immediate friendship which later blossomed into a romance in early 2020 when Hendricks divorced Geoffrey. This makes Bianchini her second husband.
Shirley Manson took to her Instagram to congratulate the newlyweds. She wrote in the caption,
“Went to the state of Louisiana. Got my license as an officiant in New Orleans. Wedded two beautiful people who are madly in love and it all felt romantic and right… #christinaandgeorgeforvever”
Christina and George’s dreamy wedding proves that love truly knows no bounds. Their story is a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to find your happily ever after.
I wonder what Geoffrey Arend thinks of this though…
