Actor Hugh Jackman has officially revealed his stance in the escalating legal battle between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
In an exclusive interview with In Touch Weekly magazine on March 31, 2025, an anonymous source close to the X-Men star revealed his unwavering support for Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in the ongoing feud.
The insider explained that if Hugh is called to testify during the trial, he won’t back down, stating,
“If this actually goes all the way to court and Hugh is forced to take the stand, there’s no question he will step up. At this point, Ryan is like a brother to him, he will have his back no matter what it takes”.

Further revealing Hugh’s stance, the source added,
“There’s nothing to hide. He’s got no doubt about Ryan and Blake’s conduct and is 100 percent on their side. He’s actually excited to be able to help out in some way because he hates seeing the stress that Ryan and Blake are under right now”.
Hugh Doing His Best To Support Ryan And Blake In Every Possible Way
The insider also revealed how deeply upsetting the entire situation is for Jackman, seeing one of his closest friends caught up in such a messy legal dispute with Justin Baldoni.
According to the source, Hugh is doing everything in his power to help Reynolds and the Gossip Girl alum navigate through the turmoil. They shared,
“It sickens him that they’re being dragged through the mud, when in his view, they’re the victims in all of this. He’s being very supportive behind the scenes and he’s already defending them to anyone who will listen, so going in front of the court is no worry for him”.
A few days before Hugh publicly expressed his support for Blake and Ryan, Joe Rogan weighed in on the controversy during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience on March 22, 2025.
Rogan firmly sided with Baldoni, praising the actor’s decision to stand his ground in the legal battle against the couple. He said,
“Baldoni’s got a great case there. His only option was to fight back in court and go hard… if he had any hopes of salvaging his career. [Blake and Ryan] ruined their reputation by suing him. They f**ked up! Ryan’s trying to get out of it now. He’s trying to get out of the lawsuit… [They] were just trying to take over the movie”.

The heated legal feud between the two stars began in December 2024 when Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni and several others involved in the 2024 film, accusing them of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign to tarnish her reputation.
In January 2025, Baldoni fired back with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others. The case remains ongoing with no final ruling yet. Their trial is scheduled for a year from now on March 9, 2026.

As the legal battle between Blake, Ryan, and Justin drags on, it’s clear that tensions are only heating up. With high-profile allies like Hugh Jackman throwing their support behind the iconic couple, the drama is far from over.
