The months-long legal feud between It Ends With Us co-stars Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively has escalated once again.
On March 20, 2025, Lively and her legal team filed a motion to dismiss Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit against her. In response to the motion, his attorney, Bryan Freedman, issued a scathing statement, making it clear that Justin intends to fight the case.
Freedman didn’t hold back, suggesting that Blake is now trying to backtrack after realizing the consequences of her actions. He stated,
“Ms. Lively’s recent motion to dismiss herself from the self-concocted disaster she initiated is one of the most abhorrent examples of abusing our legal system”.
Taking an even sharper jab at the Gossip Girl star, the lawyer accused her of manipulating the legal system for personal gain. He continued,
“Stringent rules are put into place to protect the innocent and allow individuals to rightfully defend themselves. Laws are not meant to be twisted and curated by privileged elites to fit their own personal agenda”.

Bryan Freedman Confident Justin Will Prevail In Legal Battle Against Blake
Bryan wrapped up his statement with unwavering confidence in Baldoni’s case, asserting that the legal proceedings will ultimately rule in his client’s favor. Stressing the role of solid evidence in court, he declared,
“We will continue to hold Ms. Lively accountable for her actions of pure malice which include falsely accusing my clients of harassment and retaliation. Her fantastical claims will be swiftly debunked as discovery moves forward, easily disproved with actual, evidentiary proof”.
The heated legal feud between the two stars began in December 2024 when Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni and several others involved in the 2024 film, accusing them of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign to tarnish her reputation.
In January 2025, Baldoni fired back with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others. The case remains ongoing with no final ruling yet.
Their trial is scheduled for a year from now on March 9, 2026.

With both sides refusing to back down, this legal war is only getting more intense. As the battle wages on, all eyes are on Blake and Justin—will justice prevail, or will this feud take yet another shocking turn?
