Khloé Kardashian is opening up about the infamous cheating scandal involving the father of her two children, Tristan Thompson, three years after their split.
On the January 29, 2025, episode of her podcast Khloé In Wonderland, the Kardashians star got candid about her past relationship with the NBA player and how she navigated his public betrayals.
In an emotional conversation with guest Mel Robbins, Khloé recalled the mental and emotional toll of Tristan’s first cheating scandal in April 2018—just two days before she gave birth to their daughter, True Thompson. She shared,
“And I remember when Tristan had an affair, it was public and I gave birth 48 hours later… I get sad if I ever see myself because I can tell I’m blank and it’s an out-of-body experience. I just went into autopilot… I’m not here, I was not present. But my body was there”.
Despite the heartbreaking betrayal, Khloé allowed Tristan to be present in the delivery room, a decision she made with their daughter’s future in mind. Explaining her reasoning, she said,
“It was my first baby and I said… let’s all act like this didn’t happen. Because my daughter’s going to see this home footage one day. I was thinking for my daughter True… I wanted her to know that her dad was in the room…”

Khloé Kardashian Distanced Herself From Tristan Thompson After His Betrayal
During the podcast episode, Khloé also admitted that while she allowed her ex to be present for their daughter’s birth, she struggled to communicate with him in the aftermath of his scandal.
Reflecting on that difficult time, she shared,
“And then when it was done, I was like, I can’t talk to you when I put my home camera down”.
Just a week before this candid revelation, Khloé opened up about her decision to embrace singlehood during a separate episode of Khloé In Wonderland.
In a candid conversation with guest Jay Shetty, the reality star explained why she has refrained from dating since her split from Thompson in late 2021. She explained,
“I’ve chosen not to—because I genuinely don’t want to—I’m not dating. My relationship with my kids is just everything to me. Where I am in my life right now… I just want to be as present as I can. I don’t want any distractions in my life”.
