Soon-to-be parents KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty recently enjoyed a romantic getaway before the arrival of their first child.
On January 13, 2025, the cricketer took to Instagram to share a carousel of unseen snaps from their New Year’s vacation in Australia. Among the photos was a rare image of the couple posing together.
The Hero actress looked chic in a multicolored striped sleeveless knit sweater vest layered over a white T-shirt, paired with dark gray jeans.
Meanwhile, Rahul kept it simple yet stylish, wearing a plain white T-shirt under an unbuttoned white cardigan, paired with beige jeans and a midnight blue baseball cap.
The expecting pair were seated outside a café called Heart Bakes, with Athiya holding a coffee cup in her hands. Her growing baby bump was clearly visible, as she flashed a genuine, wide-toothy smile with her eyes closed.
Rahul, on the other hand, gazed lovingly at his wife with a soft, affectionate smile. Keeping the caption simple, he wrote:

Just days before Rahul’s latest photo dump, the athlete shared a heartwarming post on January 1, 2025, featuring moments from New Year’s celebration with his wife in Sydney, Australia.
The post included two images. The first captured KL and Shetty seated side-by-side in a cozy restaurant. Athiya had her arms firmly intertwined with Rahul’s, resting her head on his shoulder as the couple flashed warm smiles for the camera.
The second image showcased the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, illuminated by dazzling fireworks, as the lovebirds rang in the New Year 2025 together.
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty first met each other in early 2019 through a mutual friend and soon started dating. After four years together, they tied the knot in a private ceremony at Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra, in January 2023.
Nearly two years into their marriage, KL and Athiya are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child, due in the summer of 2025.
