Actress La La Anthony is officially stepping back into the dating scene after taking a four-year break following her divorce from NBA star Carmelo Anthony.
In an exclusive interview with Lindsay Hoffman for In Touch Weekly magazine published on February 6, 2025, the BMF star opened up about her current relationship status and her outlook on love.
While keeping the details under wraps, La La subtly hinted at exploring new romantic possibilities without naming anyone specific. She shared,
“[I’m staying] open to whatever is meant to be and believing that whatever God wants will come. I’m living life and having fun and trying to make amazing memories”.
When asked about her ideal date night, Anthony revealed her preference for something casual and relaxed, explaining,
“A good meal somewhere with drinks is always fun. Maybe a nice walk after, or sitting at the park. Or watching something fun on TV, like a fun movie or TV series. Some good old-fashioned fun”.

When it comes to love, everyone has their must-haves—and La La is no exception. The Two Can Play That Game actress revealed her ideal partner’s qualities during her interview.
For her, a sense of humor and a playful personality top the list. She explained,
“I love spontaneity, and I love to laugh. I joke around all day long, so if you can be spontaneous and make me laugh, those are two great qualities”.
The actress also emphasized the importance of staying true to oneself when searching for a partner. Reflecting her positive outlook on love and the importance of patience, La La shared,
“You don’t just want any options — you want the right ones. Don’t settle. And whatever is important to you, don’t sway from that. There’s somebody in this big world who’s going to match everything you’re looking for”.
La La Anthony was previously married to Carmelo Anthony from 2010 to 2021. Throughout their decade-long marriage, the couple experienced several separations, often finding their way back to each other after brief reconciliations.
However, in June 2021, La La officially filed for divorce, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their final split.
La La Anthony is embracing this new chapter with confidence and an open heart, staying true to herself as she navigates the possibilities of love.
