Looks like actress Millie Bobby Brown is ready to take a major step forward in her marriage with husband Jake Bongiovi.
During an exclusive interview on the March 10, 2025, episode of the SmartLess podcast, the Stranger Things star opened up about her future with Jake, revealing their hopes of starting a family soon.
Millie shared that the topic of having children came up early in their relationship, with Bongiovi fully supporting her dreams, but with one condition. She recalled,
“I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family… It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing”.
The actress also emphasized how their shared experience of growing up in large families has influenced their vision for the future. Brown shared,
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake… I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me. And my thing was, I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future”.
Millie And Jake Open To Expanding Their Family Through Adoption
Millie wrapped up the conversation by sharing that she and her husband are not only excited about having a big family but are also open to adoption if that path presents itself. She expressed,
“For me, I don’t see having your own child only, as really any different as in adopting. My home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we kind of stand by, Jake and I. [Our] house, that door is always open, and we want everyone to feel really comfortable”.
A few days before this candid confession, the newlyweds were spotted enjoying a PDA-filled date night on February 27, 2025, at the Madrid premiere of Millie’s highly anticipated animated Netflix film, The Electric State.
In a paparazzi-captured clip, the couple shared a sweet red carpet moment, standing arm-in-arm as they posed for the cameras. While Millie maintained a poised, model-like expression, Jake couldn’t hide his excitement, flashing a proud, beaming smile as he supported his wife’s latest milestone.
Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi first sparked dating rumors in June 2021 before making their romance Instagram official in November of the same year. After two years together, the lovebirds got engaged in April 2023 and secretly tied the knot in May 2024.
Netizens Question The Couple’s Future Together
Following the actress’s candid interview, social media was abuzz with skepticism about the couple’s marriage and future family plans. Many netizens expressed doubts about their relationship’s longevity. Some such comments read,
“That marriage has an expiration date”.
“They should wait a few years… Relationships that start fast usually end fast”.
“I doubt they will make it to their 30’s”.

Despite the skepticism surrounding their future, Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi seem more in love than ever, standing firm in their vision for a big, happy family. Only time will tell if their love story continues to defy expectations.
