Actress Millie Bobby Brown has found her one true love, and she’s not afraid to share why she chose to settle down at just 20.
During the March 12, 2025, episode of the popular Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper, the Stranger Things star opened up about her relationship with husband Jake Bongiovi.
Millie, who secretly tied the knot in May 2024, credited their experience of moving in together as a pivotal moment in their relationship when asked how she knew Jake was ‘the one’. She shared,
“We had dogs together and we were taking care of our animals and we started living this day-to-day life. I thought, I really don’t think I could ever see you like anything else… I don’t wanna be with anyone else ever again. I don’t wanna date, I don’t wanna meet anyone like I want you”.
Moreover, reflecting on the early days of their romance, Brown also revealed that their deep conversations played a major role in their decision to settle down. As they got to know each other, they discovered their values and future goals were perfectly aligned. She explained,
“When we started talking about politics and how we wanna raise our kids and like about really, really bigger things that I’d never spoken about. I’m already very young, so I’ve never spoken about that with boys anyway. But to be able to even think about those things, I was like okay, maybe I do wanna be with you forever”.

During the conversation, Millie opened up about her future with Jake, revealing their shared dream of starting a family soon. She mentioned that the topic of having children came up early in their relationship, and her husband was fully on board. She recalled,
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And it’s been my thing since before I met Jake… I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me. And my thing was, I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future”.
The couple not only plans to have their own children but also hopes to adopt in the future. The actress added,
“I don’t see having your own child as really any different as in adopting. My home is full of love for anyone and anything, and so that is what we kind of stand by, Jake and I. [Our] house, that door is always open, and we want everyone to feel really comfortable”.
