The pop sensation has been completely ghosting former bestie Blake ever since getting dragged into her messy legal drama with Justin Baldoni.
On June 3, 2025, an anonymous source close to Taylor spilled exclusive details to the Daily Mail about where things really stand between the Gossip Girl alum and the Grammy winner.
According to the insider, Blake has been relentlessly trying to reconnect with Taylor after the singer was briefly subpoenaed by Baldoni’s legal team, a move they’ve since dropped. The source revealed,
“Even though Taylor has totally cut ties with her, Blake hasn’t with Taylor. She’s been reaching out to her with texts, voicemails and even emails, begging to mend what they once had. Blake isn’t giving up on trying to get her friendship with Taylor back on track”.
However, the Love Story singer has reportedly ignored every single message. The insider added,
“Taylor hasn’t responded to any of Blake’s pleas. She’s ignored all her grovelling excuses. The missives explain there must be some misunderstanding on Taylor’s part and that she would never do anything to harm their ten years of closeness and personal secrets”.

Shortly after the insider hinted at serious tension between the former besties, a different source offered a surprising twist in PEOPLE magazine the very same day.
According to this new source, Taylor and Blake have been making quiet progress behind the scenes, revealing,
“[They] are working towards being on good terms. Their friendship isn’t the same as it was before and [they] aren’t as close and haven’t been spending as much time together as they did in the past”.

Back on May 14, Justin’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, filed explosive court documents accusing Lively’s legal team of pressuring Taylor into publicly supporting her in the legal drama. According to Freedman,
“If Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages [between the two] of a personal nature in Ms. Lively’s possession would be released”.

The heated feud between the It Ends With Us co-stars first began in December 2024, when Blake filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, his production company, and several others involved in the 2024 film.
She accused them of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign to tarnish her reputation.
In January 2025, Justin firmly denied the allegations and fired back with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Blake, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others, alleging civil extortion and defamation.
