NFL legend Tom Brady is reportedly struggling to come to terms with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen’s pregnancy with her new boyfriend.
In an exclusive interview with In Touch Weekly, published on December 19, 2024, an anonymous source close to Brady opened up about his emotional turmoil following the news.
The insider revealed that since Gisele’s pregnancy announcement, Tom has been dealing with regret over the couple’s divorce and is having a hard time accepting that she has truly moved on. The source shared,
“Tom wants to be happy for Gisele, but he can’t quite do that. It’s still a shock that she’s having a child with someone else. He hasn’t gotten used to the idea… Truth is, Tom’s lonely. There have been times he’s regretted not doing more to save his marriage, and now that she’s got a baby on the way, Gisele has truly moved on”.
The source went on to highlight Tom’s friends and family’s concerns for him and their wishes to see the athlete move forward in his life. The insider added,
“Tom’s friends are telling him he needs to get out there and find someone. Hopefully, the new year will spur him on…”
Tom Brady Cryptically Responds To His Ex-Wife’s Pregnancy News
Earlier, on October 28, 2024, an anonymous insider revealed that Bündchen and her beau, Joaquim Valente, were expecting a child, with the baby due in early 2025.
Just hours after the news broke, Brady took to Instagram and posted a cryptic sunset photo. While the image itself didn’t express any clear emotions, his choice of song raised eyebrows online.
He paired the picture with The Chicks’ cover of Fleetwood Mac’s classic Landslide, a song known for its theme of navigating significant life changes. In the caption, Tom included three prominent lines from the song:
“Oh mirror in the sky, what is love / Can the child inside my heart rise above / Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?”
However, Tom has refrained from making any direct comments on his ex-wife’s happy news.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen dated for three years before tying the knot in February 2009. Together, they share two children – a son and a daughter. After 13 years of marriage, they divorced in October 2022.
Since their split, the supermodel has moved on with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim, while Tom has been rumored to be dating supermodel Irina Shayk since July 2023. However, neither Brady nor Shayk have officially addressed the status of their relationship.
