Insider reveals whether there’s any improvement in Blake Lively and Taylor Swift’s broken bond amid Blake’s legal drama with Justin Baldoni.
On June 11, 2025, an anonymous source close to the Gossip Girl alum spilled exclusive details about the current state of her friendship with Taylor, following the dismissal of Justin Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively by a judge on June 9.
Offering insight into Blake’s mindset after the legal win and her hopes to mend the bond with the pop sensation, the source told Us Weekly,
“Although it was great news for Blake, she hasn’t rekindled her friendship with Taylor yet. [However,] Blake is hopeful that Taylor will come around”.
Further shedding light on the Love Story singer’s stance on the lawsuit, the insider added that Swift still wants no involvement in the drama, stating,
“Taylor has not been in touch with Blake and still does not want to discuss anything related to the lawsuit. As of now, there is still distance between the two”.
Taylor Reportedly Ignoring Blake’s Attempts To Reconnect
A few days prior to this latest revelation, on June 3, 2025, an anonymous source close to Taylor spilled exclusive details to the Daily Mail about how the Another Simple Favor star was relentlessly trying to reconnect with Swift.
The efforts came after the singer was briefly subpoenaed by Baldoni’s legal team, a move they’ve since dropped. According to the source,
“Even though Taylor has totally cut ties with her, Blake hasn’t with Taylor. She’s been reaching out to her with texts, voicemails and even emails, begging to mend what they once had”.
However, the insider revealed that the Midnight Rain singer has ignored all of Lively’s efforts, saying,
“Taylor hasn’t responded to any of Blake’s pleas. She’s ignored all her grovelling excuses… There must be some misunderstanding on Taylor’s part…”
