Over a year later, Joe Alwyn finally addresses his infamous breakup from pop icon Taylor Swift. In an interview published on June 15, 2024, he shares his side of the story and how the breakup affected him.
While speaking to Josh Arnold of The Sunday Times Style, Alwyn recalled the end of his six years long relationship with Swift. He shared,
“I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate”.
Joe further opened up about the intense media scrutiny following his split from Taylor. He also claims that it doesn’t capture the complete narrative of what exactly happened between the two. He added,
“… Tabloids, social media, press… dissected, speculated on, pulled things out of shape beyond recognition. And the truth is… there is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said. I have made my peace with that”.
