It Ends With Us actor Adam Mondschein is pushing back on Blake Lively’s claims about what went down during their intense birthing scene together.
On April 8, 2025, Adam, who played OBGYN Dr. Dunbar in the 2024 film, released an official statement to Page Six, directly refuting parts of Lively’s ongoing legal claims against both director and co-star Justin Baldoni and himself.
In her lawsuit, Blake not only accused Justin of misconduct on set but also pointed fingers at Mondschein, alleging that she felt deeply uncomfortable during their scene as she was nearly nude from the chest down, with his “face and hands in close proximity” to her private parts.
Addressing the claims, Adam shared,
“I’m not going to speculate as to Ms. Lively’s motivations for mentioning me in the complaint. Needless to say, my experience working with her is very different from the one she described in her lawsuit. Indeed, I was surprised to read her description of the scene”.

The actor then went on to firmly deny Blake’s claims, clarifying that she was far from nude, and that the set remained professional throughout filming. He said,
“Her costume included a full hospital gown, black shorts and torso-covering prosthetic to make her appear pregnant in addition to whatever personal garments she chose. She never complained or expressed discomfort at any point because nothing unusual or improper occurred. It was entirely professional”.

Adam Shuts Down Blake’s Claims About His Role And Credentials
In her lawsuit, the Gossip Girl alum also alleged that Mondschein was a close friend of Baldoni, handpicked to play the OBGYN instead of hiring a qualified local actor, a choice she claimed made the scene even more uncomfortable.
But Adam revealed that he was a local hire and landed the role based on his professional merit, not because of any personal ties to Justin. He said,
“Ms. Lively’s insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive, as my bonafides are easily searchable online. Lastly, I was, in fact, a local hire. My wife and I are from New York and spend significant time there. I, like any actor accepting that contract, was required to cover my own travel and living expenses in connection with the job”.
He also made it clear that if the lawsuit goes to trial, he’s ready to testify and back up his account of the controversial birth scene. He added,
“If I’m called to testify in the case I will answer truthfully, whatever is asked of me with all the legal protection that affords. In particular, by noting that Ms. Lively was not nearly nude in the scene we shot together”.

The intense legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni kicked off in December 2024, when Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni, along with several others involved in the 2024 film, including actor Adam Mondschein, of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign to damage her reputation.
In response, Baldoni hit back in January 2025 with a staggering $400 million defamation lawsuit against the actress, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and members of their team.
The case is still ongoing, with no final ruling yet. The trial is currently scheduled for March 9, 2026.

Fans Back Mondschein And Baldoni, Slam Blake For False Accusations
Following Adam’s explosive statement, public opinion seems to be swinging in favor of him and Justin. Many fans online accused Blake of exaggerating her claims to gain an edge in the legal battle. Some such negative and harsh comments on social media read,
“So sick of hearing about blake lively. GO AWAY!”
“I used to love Blake, now not so much. This story is getting on my nerves”.
“Every day it’s something new with her. She needs to just disappear and drop all of this”.
“Pinocchio ( Blake Lie-ly), is lying 🤥”

With testimonies clashing and the internet weighing in, the drama behind the scenes of It Ends With Us is far from over. One thing’s clear, the real battle is playing out far beyond the screen.
