Renowned comedian and actor John Mulaney just entered the chat on the escalating feud between co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
On the May 21, 2025, episode of his hit Netflix comedy series Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney, the comic took a cheeky jab at the ongoing drama, delivering it with his signature wit, of course.
In a hilarious sketch, actor Peter Gallagher made a surprise cameo, dressed exactly like Mulaney from head to toe, except with gray hair. Playing the role of ‘Future John’, he introduced himself to a confused John with a dramatic warning,
“John, I came here from the year 2055 to warn you… Things get very, very bad for us”.
Here, the Netflix host sarcastically asked his so-called future self,
“Wait, you’re from the future! What happens in that Justin Baldoni case?”
But Gallagher, staying in character, casually replied that he couldn’t remember, prompting Mulaney to ask how he could not remember when he’s from the future.
To which the O.C. alum hilariously defended himself, saying,
“That doesn’t mean that I remember everything!”
Mulaney Addresses The Taylor Swift Blackmail Claims Against Lively
Further addressing the explosive claims made by Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, on May 14, about Blake allegedly pressuring her longtime bestie Taylor to publicly support her amid the ongoing legal feud, John didn’t hold back.
In his letter to the court, Freedman alleged that Blake’s legal team warned Taylor’s reps that,
“If Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages [between the two] of a personal nature in Ms. Lively’s possession would be released”.
That eyebrow-raising letter, however, has since been struck from the court docket after the judge deemed it “improper”.

Still, John couldn’t resist bringing it up. Deadpan, he turned to Peter and asked,
“Well, did Blake really tell Taylor, ‘Hey, you gotta stick up for me?’”
To which Gallagher simply replied,
“You’re asking me too much. I can’t recall conversations that I wasn’t present for”.

John Mulaney isn’t the only celeb weighing in on the explosive lawsuit. Several other big names, including Hugh Jackman and even Joe Rogan, have taken sides in the high-profile legal battle.
On the March 22, 2025, episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan and his guest, Brendan Schaub, didn’t hold back in backing Justin. Joe declared,
“[Baldoni’s] got a great case… His only option was to fight back in court and go hard in the paint if he had any hopes of salvaging his career… [Blake and Ryan] ruined their reputation by suing him. They f**ked up! Ryan’s trying to get out of it now… [They] were just trying to take over the movie”.

Meanwhile, Hugh, who shares a close friendship with Blake and Ryan, made it clear he’s standing firmly in their corner. In an exclusive In Touch Weekly report from March 31, 2025, a source revealed,
“At this point, Ryan is like a brother to him, he will have his back no matter what it takes. There’s nothing to hide. He’s got no doubt about Ryan and Blake’s conduct and is 100 percent on their side”.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been embroiled in a heated feud since December 2024, when Blake filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and several others involved in the 2024 film, accusing them of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
In January 2025, Justin firmly denied the allegations and fired back with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Blake, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and others, alleging civil extortion and defamation.
The case remains ongoing, with no final ruling yet. The trial is scheduled for March 9, 2026.

With Hollywood’s biggest names picking sides and courtroom bombshells still dropping, one thing’s clear: this battle is far from over.
And if Mulaney’s future self is to be believed, the worst may be yet to come.
