Reality star Kim Kardashian is setting the record straight following recent claims made by ex-husband Kanye West regarding their ongoing custody situation.
On April 22, 2025, an anonymous insider close to the former couple spoke exclusively with Daily Mail, responding to Kanye’s indirect accusation, made via X, that he hasn’t been allowed to see their son Saint at all this year.
Refuting the God Is rapper’s claims, the source emphasized that Kanye is free to spend time with their children whenever he chooses, although certain precautions are in place. The insider explained,
“Kanye can see the kids anytime he wants; there are no limitations, but Kim is very careful also to not put them in situations that are chaotic. Protecting her kids [comes] first and foremost”.
As for why Kanye hasn’t spent time with Saint specifically, the source placed the responsibility squarely on his shoulders. They added,
“Kanye has been in LA recently for a few months and didn’t ask to see the kids aside from North until a week before he was leaving again”.

Kanye West Drops Shocking Claim About Kim Kardashian
That same day, West sparked fresh controversy with a fiery post on his official X account, taking direct aim at his ex-wife and several high-profile figures.
The Donda rapper criticized some of the biggest names in entertainment and politics, including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Elon Musk, and even President Donald Trump, for their alleged silence over what he claimed was Kim withholding access to their children. He wrote,
“Why is the celebrity world. Jay Z, Beyonce, Kendrick, Rihanna, Rocky included Trump, Elon, why are you all watching and letting Kim take my kids from me in real time…”
He then went on to admit that his support for Hitler and antisemitic remarks have complicated his ongoing custody battle, writing,
“The thing that made my kids situation so hard is most lawyers are jewish. For my kids I need the right lawyer”.

The custody dispute between Kim and Kanye reportedly intensified after West violated a key agreement reached during a March 14 mediation session with the reality star.
According to sources, Kanye had agreed not to release a track featuring their 11-year-old daughter, North, alongside disgraced rapper Diddy, who is currently facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
Despite the agreement, the rapper went ahead and released the track on March 15, featuring North’s rap verse. Although it was swiftly taken down, insiders say the damage was already done.

A few days later, on March 18, Kanye took to his official X account to unleash a series of since-deleted posts aimed at Kim.
In the tweets, he made racially charged remarks, accusing his ex-wife of exerting control over their children’s lives and careers. He wrote,
“So Kim got the name and likeness over my black children. So a white women has control over the name and likeness of my Black children…”

As tensions continue to mount between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, one thing remains clear, their custody battle is far from over.
Only time will tell how this high-profile feud unfolds in real time.
